GTA 6 pre-load starts November 10

GTA 6 pre-loading opens on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 10. The file can top 200 GB, and the game launches November 19.

GTA 6 is only a few weeks away, and Rockstar has set the pre-load date. Starting Tuesday, November 10, digital buyers can begin downloading the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, nine days ahead of the November 19 launch.

Timing by console

  • PlayStation 5: pre-loading opens at midnight on November 10, local time in each region.
  • Xbox Series X|S: pre-loading opens worldwide at 12 a.m. GMT on November 10.

If you prefer a boxed copy, code-in-box versions for both consoles should reach retailers starting November 12.

Make room: up to 212 GB

The pre-load file can take up to 212 GB depending on your console, so clear space ahead of time to start downloading as soon as it opens. Step-by-step instructions for each platform are on the Rockstar Support site.

There’s still time to pre-order and play on launch day.

A free Leonida poster and map

On November 19, Rockstar will add a printable poster with the GTA 6 cover art and a map of Leonida to the game’s official site as a free download. Shortly after launch, a double-sided physical version will arrive at the Rockstar Store: $0.99 on its own, or free with any purchase from the store.

Until then, the official site has the game’s videos (including An Extended Look), radio station previews, singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the Only in Leonida section on Vice City and beyond, and details on the Ultimate Edition.
